Getting Ready to Decorate!

Well, I thought it would be nice to spend some good quality family time together and make popcorn garland with the kids this year. We did have a ton of fun! It started out with some frustration and poked fingers, but everyone ended up enjoying themselves once we got going. I can't wait to get these beautiful strands of garland on our Christmas tree. They will surely make a beautiful addition. And after the holidays the birdies will be thankful we made these yummy treats too!

Hopefully you all are enjoying your holiday traditions wherever you are. Merry Almost Christmas!

An Amazing Building in Old Town Temecula

I shot some Christmas photos for a company in Temecula last week. Their office is in The Edge building in Old Town Temecula. The building is fairly new and I have adored it since it was finished. Now though, I have found a new respect for it. As you can see in the photo, the architecture is beautiful with so many different elements on the outside. I love the brick work, the clock and all the balconies. It is truly a beautiful building and each detail was well thought out. This developer is an artist in his craft for sure!

The inside offices are amazing as well. Fortunately, one of the owner's of this business, was also the building owner and developer, "The Artist". He was kind enough to show me the different offices inside the building, including his studio apartment. Every single space is incredible and unique. He used rusted metal and rebar as accents around the walls and hallways and the theme of each room depicts a different area in the city with brick walls, steel beams and rusted metal. Honestly, there is no way that I could possibly describe it's beauty, but know this, if you're looking for a cool place to run your business, these offices wouldn't disappoint you.

The owner's studio apartment is unbelievable as well. It shows his vision and style with it's built in sauna, airplane wing bar, roll up doors, pool table and ancient artifacts. I'm so thankful to have had the pleasure of seeing through his eyes for a night. What an amazing place! What an amazing man! The photo below was taken in his apartment. He is the second man from the right.

Akiko

Akiko is one of our Zumba masters! What a fabulous dancer she is! My mom and I met Akiko out at Balboa Park in San Diego, CA one afternoon and had a blast dancing and jumping and taking pictures. Here are a few of my favorite captures.

If you haven't tried Zumba yet...Now is the time! It is so much fun!

25 Years of Bliss!

I was so excited to shoot a couples 25th wedding anniversary this past month. They had a beautiful ceremony and reception in their home with their closest friends and family. Everything from the brides dress, to the decorations, to the cake, flowers, DJ and food were over the top! Everything was absolutely beautiful! And what a wonderful group of people!

This has become one of my favorite shots. It's one that I almost tossed because the flash didn't fire, but I loved it so much that I had to play with it. I'm glad I did.

Just Married!

It's always fun to shoot a wedding of a couple that seems to enjoy each other completely. This Bride and Groom seemed to laugh and giggle with each other the entire day...and I mean the entire day! We were with them for 11 1/2 hours, so that's pretty remarkable.
Their reception was also filled with a fun crowd that loved taking pictures of the Bride and Groom...possibly as much as I did. There actually might have been more cameras at this wedding then guests :)
Another Fun Day doing what I love!

Adore Photography

Okay, I'll try to keep this blog going again now that life has calmed down...a little. A lot has changed since I posted last. I'm almost done with my schooling to get my photography certificate and have started officially working in the Photography industry.
In the begining I begged all my friends, family and even Zumba instructor to be my models so I could get some good practicing in. I even asked a complete stranger if I could take photos of her adorable little man. To my surprise people started talking about what I was doing and all that practice turned quickly into a lot of business. I've done just about everything now from family portraits to senior portraits to weddings, business advertisements and product ads. I'm having a blast! The best part of it all, is that I get to spend a lot of time working with two other great photographer's, my mom Sandi and my mother-in-law Betty. Betty and I have shot several weddings together and our memories of each are just plain Fun!!!
My mom and I are also starting to do some work together too, but mainly up to this point we just go out and play. My two kids are sick of being drug here and there and everywhere, but we're having a good time anyway. The best thing in life is being able to enjoy what you do...and I'll tell you, I am enjoying every second that I have my camera in my hand and it's not just the camera it's the people and the relationships that are formed. Life is Good!
Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog today.
